The Rich & The Ruthless Season 3



LOS ANGELES, CA – Bringing more meltdowns, mischief, and masterful manipulation, Victoria Rowell’sDaytime Emmy nominated soap opera comedy series, “The Rich and the Ruthless” is returning for a third season on UMC (Urban Movie Channel) – the first and leading streaming service for Black film and television from AMC Networks’ RLJ Entertainment. Premiering Thursday, May 23, 2019, “The Rich and the Ruthless” is a behind the scenes soap opera that follows the fictional story of the first black run daytime drama in the industry. Season 3 of the series follows the cast as they prepare for their “Destination: Nowhere” cruise to thank their loyal soap fans with some exclusive, over-the-top entertainment. But with Kitty (Victoria Rowell) and Augustus Barringer (Richard Brooks, “Being Mary Jane”) at the helm, plus their crew of eccentric cast members, the claws are back, and the calamity is inevitable!      

The series stars Rowell known for her role as Drucilla on The Young and The Restless, her New York Times bestseller The Woman Who Raised Me, and much more – as well as Richard Brooks, Alesha Renee (“Giants”), Dawnn Lewis (“A Different World”), Robert Ri’chard (Coach Carter, Chocolate City), Chrystale Wilson (The Player’s Club), Caryn Ward Ross (“The Game,” “Craig Ross Jr.’s Monogamy”), Michael Colyar (The Princess and the Frog), Valencia Algarin (“Black Jesus”) and more.

Just before the release of its second season in 2018, “The Rich and the Ruthless” received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Digital Daytime Drama Series for Richard Brooks, along with seven Indie Series Award (ISA) nominations, taking home the win for Best Ensemble cast in a comedy series. Earlier this month at the 2019 ISAs, the series won the award for Best Ensemble Cast in a Comedy Series for the second year in a row, as well as Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Alesha Renee.

Season 3 of “The Rich and the Ruthless” is executive produced by Victoria Rowell and Sarah Snow in association with Days Ferry Productions, LLC. New episodes premiere weekly through Thursday, June 27, 2019 after which all three seasons will be available to stream in their entirety at any time.
